ABOUT SHED STORIES

The Cast & Creator of SHED STORIES at UK Men’s Sheds Association’s SHED FEST 2025 (left to right - Deepraj Singh, Matthew Winston & Tim Casson)

Created & directed by Tim Casson, SHED STORIES is a unique performance inspired by the extraordinary and everyday stories of Men's Shed members, organisers, and the communities around them!

Developed through visits to 18 Men's Sheds and conversations with more than 70 people, the production is created entirely from real interviews, bringing together documentary, theatre, and movement, to explore friendship, loneliness, belonging & men's mental health.

Performed by Matthew Winston & Deepraj Singh, with original music by Paul Rogerson, SHED STORIES has toured to theatres, village halls, community spaces and even Men's Sheds themselves, sharing the stories of Shedders with hundreds of audience members since its premiere in 2024.

Now, following more than 40 live performances, this celebrated production has been captured on film by Alisa Boanta, and filmed on location at Broadstairs Town Shed, making it accessible to audiences wherever they are!

Created with the support of Arts Council England and the UK Men's Sheds Association, SHED STORIES celebrates the power of creativity, conversation and community to bring people together.
