Carte Postale (2017)

Carte Postale, is a unique project that sees Casson & Friends take up residence in a city for 1 week, creating a new work for two local dancers, choreographed entirely by members of the public, and rehearsed in public spaces.

Taking inspiration from the city and it’s inhabitants, the work is created and rehearsed in various spaces across the city, producing a tribute to the city through movement, and a celebration of the creativity within us all!

In 2017, the project and the finished choreography will be presented as part of the 15th Festival Quartiers Danses in Montreal, Canada. Both indoors at the Place des Arts’ Cinquième Salle, and in its outdoor version at the Place Émilie-Gamelin.

A short video will also be made throughout the city to send as a post card to London & Ipswich, the project’s host cities for 2018.

Carte Postale is organized by Festival Quartiers Danses in Montreal, Canada, in collaboration with Greenwich Dance and DanceEast.

  • Concept & Direction: Tim Casson

  • Performed by Guillaume Loslier-Pinard and Roxanne Dupuis

  • Duration: 15 Minutes

  • Supported and Commissioned by Festival Quartiers Danses, DanceEast, Greenwich Dance, Quebec Government and British Council.
